Helping all students unlock strategies that work — and confidence that lasts

Meet Ebony

Hi, I'm Ebony - and I help bright students who think and learn differently build the skills they need to thrive.

As a former family lawyer turned executive function coach, I've spent years advocating for families. Now I get to support them in a different way - by giving students tools that actually work for their unique learning styles.

What I do: I work one-on-one with students from primary school through university to help them:

  • Get organised and stay that way

  • Build realistic systems that fit their processing modalities

  • Feel more confident and in control of their schoolwork and daily life

I also support parents, because when everyone's on the same page, everything gets easier - less conflict, more clarity, and a calmer home.

Why this work matters to me: Currently working as a Learning Support Assistant in a school's individual needs department, I see this everyday: amazing students who are bright, capable, and trying their best - but still struggling. Not because they don't care, but because they haven't been given the right tools.

Who I work with: Students across the learning spectrum - whether they have ADHD, other learning differences, or simply need support developing executive function skills. Every student deserves strategies that work with how their brain learns best.

While I'm not a classroom teacher, this has allowed me to specialise completely in small group and one-on-one learning support and executive functioning - rather than managing the curriculum for 25+ students, I focus entirely on giving students the tools they need to succeed in ANY classroom.

My approach is simple: tools, not just effort. Telling students to "focus more" or "try harder" doesn't work when they need concrete strategies. Instead, we tap into their strengths and interests to build systems that actually stick.

My background - Education & Training:

  • Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) - Monash University

  • Years of hands-on experience working with students in school settings

  • Education Support Certificate - RMIT

  • Postgraduate study in Autism & Neurodivergent Studies - University of Wollongong

  • ADDCA - ADHD Coach Certification through the US-based ADD Coach Academy, New York (completing November 2025)

  • MultiLit certified (SpellEx and Word Attack Skills) - reading and spelling intervention

When I'm not coaching: You'll find me at the theatre watching musicals, enjoying a good brunch, planning my next beach holiday, or hanging out with my brother's golden retrievers, Burton & Aggy - they're excellent co-therapists and always up for an adventure! 🐾

Why do I do this work? Because I believe that with the right understanding, tools and support, school and life can feel so much easier. Every student deserves to feel capable and confident - and that's exactly what we're going to work toward together.

Less overwhelm. More clarity.
